Kaukovainio Youth Centre is located in the Hiirihaukka House (entrance from the door behind the library).
At the Youth Centre, you can spend time in a safe environment supervised by trained adults. You can play different games, participate in different guided activities or just spend time with friends. Some of the popular activities are playing with the PlayStation, table tennis, pool, doing crafts and playing football outside.
We arrange centre meetings where you can influence the activities and acquisitions of the Youth Centre.
By following the rules of the Youth Centres, we create the prerequisites for a positive atmosphere. The rules strive to ensure that the Youth Centres are a safe and comfortable working environment for everyone. We can achieve this by considering each other and by avoiding dangerous situations and risk-taking. The rules are reviewed together with the employees and the young people regularly. The Youth Centre is primarily meant for youth activities. The facilities can be used by other groups as well. Activities and behavior in the Youth Centre must be appropriate. The activity cannot harm or discriminate against anyone. Good manners are important at the Youth Centre. The use and possession of alcohol, tobacco products, snuff or any other intoxicants is prohibited at Youth Centre events, facilities and in their immediate surroundings. Energy drinks are prohibited at the Youth Centres for health reasons. Youth Centre instructors have the right to command a child, young person or other facility user a temporary or permanent ban from the Youth Centre if the user repeatedly causes harm to other facility users or facility use or does not follow the rules and regulations.
