The Kiiminki Youth Centre Syke is located in the Syke House. Under the same roof, you will find a library, the Oskari Jauhiainen Gallery, the Oulu10 Kiiminki Service Point and the Oulu-Opisto.
The Youth Centre offers the region’s children and young people a safe and comfortable environment to spend time. At the Youth Centre, you can chat with friends and instructors, draw, read magazines, search for information, play different games from board games to PlayStation, or just spend some time. At the Youth Centre’s centre meetings, children and young people have a chance to plan and ideate the Centre’s activities. There is a volunteer Youth Centre Committee consisting of middle school age children who participate in arranging Youth Centre activities.
The Youth Centre’s professional employees are here to support children, young people and parents. They help you in all matters regarding children’s and young people’s lives.

The rules strive to ensure that the Youth Centres are a safe and comfortable working environment for everyone. The Youth Centre rules will be read through together with the employees, children and young people every fall.

Age ratings
The Youth Centres have separate opening times for younger and older users.
Tobacco and tobacco products
Smoking, using snuff and tobacco products is prohibited in the Youth Centre events, facilities and yards.
Alcohol
The use and possession of alcohol and other intoxicating substances at Youth Centre events, facilities and in their immediate surroundings are prohibited.
Energy drinks
Energy drinks are prohibited at the Youth Centres for health reasons.
The Youth Centre can be booked (entire facility 153,5 m²). Additionally, the Syke House includes diverse spaces that suit events, meetings and exhibitions.
