Puokkari Youth Center, also known as the Puolivälinkangas Youth Centre, is located between Paulaharju School and St. Tuomas Church at Puokkaritalo.
The youth centre is a place for children and young people to spend their free time, and you are always welcome here. Our activities are diverse, and we are happy to hear ideas from kids and teens about what they’d like to do.
The building has excellent facilities that offer opportunities for all kinds of activities. Every day, we have access to a gym, which allows for versatile exercise, teamwork, and games. In the lounge area, you’ll find a pool table and a ping-pong table. There’s plenty of space and supplies for board and card games, arts and crafts, and even cooking. In the living room, you can enjoy a PS5 and a wide selection of games. And if you don’t feel like doing anything, you can simply relax and spend time in a safe environment.
We organize various events, theme days, competitions, and quizzes, so it’s worth stopping by—or at least checking out our social media channels to see what’s happening.
In spring 2026, we’ll be launching our own Youth Action Team, a group for young people to come up with new ideas for the centre, such as clubs or even a disco. If you’re interested in joining the Youth Action Team, you’re welcome! Ask the instructors for more details.
The best thing about our youth centre is that you’ll always find someone to talk to—so you can come alone or with friends. There’s no need to register, and all activities are completely free.
You are warmly welcome. Remember, we’re here just for you.
The youth center has rules to ensure a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere for everyone. These rules also increase safety and guarantee an environment where it’s enjoyable to spend time.
Let’s respect our youth center by taking care of the space, the equipment, and of course, each other.
The rules were created together with children and young people through discussion.
