At the Rajakylä Youth Centre, you can spend time with friends and trained instructors and participate in diverse activities. The Youth Centre includes an exercise hall, gaming space, craft room, living spaces and a kitchen. You can play ball games, table tennis, pool and board games. The Youth Centre’s weekly program includes challenge games, crafts, cooking, competitions and quizzes.
The youth instructors supervise and organize guided activities. You can influence the Youth Centre’s activities as well. A Youth Centre Committee consisting of young people plans and arranges theme nights and other fun activities.
There are 12 gaming computers and a PlayStation 5 for the users of the Youth Centre. Additionally, one of the computers includes streaming equipment. Different gaming activities are arranged in the gaming space, such as tournaments and LAN parties. The users of the Youth Centre can stream their gaming with the help of an instructor or with a group of friends.

Principles of a Safer Space
The activities and services of the youth center promote equality and equity among people. The premises and events of the youth center are substance-free. We do not tolerate harassment, discrimination, or any other inappropriate behavior. Inappropriate behavior will be addressed.
Give Space
Respect others’ personal space and integrity. Do not touch others without asking for permission. The youth center is our shared space, let’s keep it safe and pleasant for everyone.
Respect
Respect the diversity and self-determination of people. Everyone is welcome in the youth center, and everyone should have the peace to use the youth center.
Listen
Listen to others’ thoughts and opinions and give everyone space in the discussion. Do not make assumptions about other people’s appearance or actions. Do not speak derogatorily about others.
By following the rules of the Youth Centres, we create the prerequisites for a positive atmosphere. The rules strive to ensure that the Youth Centres are a safe and comfortable working environment for everyone. The Youth Centre rules will be read through together with the employees, children and young people every fall.
Being at the Youth Centre
Activities and behavior at the Youth Centres must be appropriate. You must not hurt or discriminate against anyone. Good manners are important at the Youth Centres. Cursing, racist comments, hurtful name-calling and bullying are prohibited.
Age ratings
The Youth Centres have separate opening times for younger and older users.
Tobacco and tobacco products
Smoking, using snuff and tobacco products is prohibited in the Youth Centre events, facilities and yards.
Alcohol
The use and possession of alcohol and other intoxicating substances at Youth Centre events, facilities and in their immediate surroundings are prohibited.
Energy drinks
Energy drinks are prohibited at the Youth Centres for health reasons.
