The Youth Forum is a place where you can make a difference! The event is held annually, every October.
The event offers young people the opportunity to influence on-site and to learn about various avenues for participation and influence.
The event brings together youth influencer groups, organisations, associations, various city stakeholders and political parties interested in young people’s opinions. The target group is lower secondary school students and upper secondary school students with their teachers. The event is organised by Basic education and youth services in the City of Oulu
The Youth Forum features various presentation stands where attendees can participate in different ways. The event includes organisations working with youth, influencer groups, political parties, and city stakeholders interested in young people’s opinions.
At certain stands, attendees might be asked for their opinions on current issues, while at others, they might get involved in developing different areas in Oulu. Some might be inspired to join an organisation, or they can simply wander around and listen to presentations.

The presentation stands, known as “active stands”, are engaging, hands-on, and interactive. The annual event features various stakeholders presenting the most current ways to participate and influence.
The interactive presentation stands of the Youth Forum can be visited throughout the event from 12 to 3 PM.
The event program will be published in the autumn, closer to the event.
The participants of the event are categorized by themes according to the topics below.
Each year, the Youth Forum’s stage area hosts a panel discussion, Q&A session, or other dialogue where young people and adults can discuss current topics as equals.

Registration for the 2025 event will be published in the autumn.
The Youth Forum event has been held in Oulu for several years. In its early years, it was called Youth Influencer Day and was held at Oulu City Hall. In its current form, with the new name – Youth Forum – the event has been held at Ouluhalli, attracting more young people and stakeholders.
