Byström One-Stop Guidance Centre is a place where under 30-year-old is welcome to come just as they are. It is important for us to make sure you pay a visit to a safe, calm and friendly atmosphere. That’s why Byström has common rules that will help to create a safe and comfortable space for everybody.

Young people from very different life situations visit Byström every day. Someone needs help with job hunting, next with their studies and other to support their own well-being. The idea of paying the visit may cause anxiety for some and for others it is current to take this next step in their lives. We want to make sure every person can come here with confidence.

Common rules make everyday life smoother

Byström’s rules are not there to restrain anyone. Their purpose is to make sure that anyone can come here and feel themselves welcome and safe. By treating each other with respect and giving everyone space to take care of their matters in peace, we create an atmosphere where everyone can feel good.

Common rules help to make sure that our property is safe for everybody, our staff’s guidelines are followed through and there’s no for discrimination, harassment or inappropriate behavior. A safe atmosphere is often born from small deeds like friendly encounters and taking consideration for others.

Byström One-Stop Guidance Centre rules: 1. Byström is a discrimination-free zone. 2. Please follow the instructions given by staff. 3. We give each other space to visit Byström and work in peace. 4. We speak to each other respectfully. 5. We do not shout or swear. 6. We do not threaten others. 7. We do not accept any form of violence.8. You may only use Byström services when sober. Ohjaamo is a substance-free space. 9. Failure to follow these rules will end ones visit at Byström. 10. You are welcome to take care of your matters here. Safety belongs to everybody

Byström One-Stop Guidance Centre is a substance-free space. Sobriety helps to create a calm and safe environment where everyone can focus on taking care of their own matters. In a case where you do have concerns about your own use of substances, you can always come to talk about them to us and get support for your situation.

Staff will step in if needed in situations where common rules aren’t followed. Our purpose is not to punish anyone but to take care of everyone’s safety and preserve Byström’s positive and respectful atmosphere. When we together take care of each other and of common rules, Byström One-Stop Guidance Centre will stay as a place where anyone can get help, be acknowledged and feel safe.
