August at Byström One-Stop Guidance Centre – summer continues, services return

“Summer isn’t over yet,” as the song says. In August, the sun still has warmth to offer, and at Byström One-Stop Guidance Centre everyday activities have resumed. Opening hours return to normal with one exception: on Monday 11 August, Byström One-Stop Guidance Centre will be closed for the entire day, as the staff participate in the joint autumn season kick-off for Youth Services.

In August, walk-in services start again, several appointment-based services resume, group activities return, and one POP UP trip is already scheduled.

Walk-in Services

  • Youth Information and Guidance Starting 4 August, Tuesdays and Thursdays 12:00–15:00.
  • Outreach Youth Work Walk-in Starting 5 August, Wednesdays 13:00–15:00.
  • Career Guidance Walk-in  Starting 12 August, Wednesdays 12:00–13:30.
  • Employment Services Walk-in  Starting 12 August, Wednesdays 13:00–15:00.
  • Walk-in services follow regular opening hours, Mon–Thu 9:00–16:00 (Mon 10 August closed), Fri 9:00–15:00.

Appointment-Based Services

  • Substance Use Support Starting 11 August, every second Tuesday 13:00–15:45.
  • Sexual Health Counselling Starting 20 August, Thursdays 12:00–14:00.
  • Guidance counselling by appointment starting 20 August.

Groups and Trips

  • Open Game Space Starting 19 August, Wednesdays 13:00–16:00.
  • POP UP Hike in Rokua National Park 25–26 August 2026 Join us for an overnight hike in the stunning landscapes of Rokua National Park. The trip is intended for young adults aged 18–29. There are 10 spots available. Registration closes on 10 August.  Please remember to inform us of any special dietary needs.
