Byström Ohjaamo offers study guidance for a variety of needs. Three study counsellors work at Byström: Paula Jussila, a study counsellor from BusinessOulu; Jutta Kokkonen, a study counsellor from OSAO Ovi Applicant Services; and Pirjo Niittyviita, a study counsellor responsible for compulsory education in the City of Oulu.
All counsellors provide support especially with matters related to applying for studies and education.
Pirjo primarily works with young people of compulsory education age who do not have a place of study, whose post‑basic education studies are at risk of interruption, or whose studies have already been discontinued.
Jutta and Paula mainly work with young people who are beyond compulsory education age and who do not have a place of study or whose studies have been interrupted. Young people considering further studies after upper secondary education are also welcome to come and talk.
Study counsellors Jutta and Paula are available at Byström Ohjaamo (Oulu10) by appointment. You can book an appointment through your own guidance counsellor or by calling, sending a text message, or emailing. Byström’s contact details: tel. +358 50 599 2293 or email bystrom@ouka.fi.
