Now is the time to apply for summer jobs! The city’s big summer job campaigns are still going on, but you should hurry. There are other options available throughout the spring and new positions are still opening up. Don’t delay any longer, because the best positions really do go first.
Even if you’ve already applied for summer jobs, it’s worth applying for more if you haven’t secured a job yet. Don’t rely on just one application. Apply widely! Never wait for one employer’s response before sending new applications. In the best-case scenario, you may receive several offers and get to choose the one that suits you best.
Summer jobs can be found surprisingly close by
It’s worth looking for summer jobs in a variety of ways. Not all jobs are publicly advertised, so explore your own network and start close by.
- Do your parents, your friend’s parents, family friends or your neighbors run a business that could use your help?
- What about a club or an organization?
- Did you do a TET internship or work in a nice place last summer?
