Welcome, New Young Resident of Oulu!

Hello, and welcome to Oulu! Whether you have just moved here or have been living in Oulu for a while, but are still unfamiliar with the city, its services, or places to go, don’t worry!

The Byström One-Stop Guidance Centre and ODL’s Outreach Youth Work team have compiled and updated this information package for young people and young adults under the age of 30, who are beginning their studies in Oulu or simply looking for information about the city.

The information package includes details about the services offered by Byström One-Stop Guidance Centre, leisure activities and opportunities, online services that support mental well-being, and events that have been introduced as part of Oulu2026, the European Capital of Culture year. If there is any issue, big or small, on your mind, the walk-in Information and Guidance Service at Byström One-Stop Guidance Centre is available without an appointment on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. You can also book an appointment through Byström’s contact channels, which are listed in this information package.
